Bathroom Trends You’ll Want To Incorporate In Your Bathroom Renovation

We love a beautiful bathroom. We really do!  There’s nothing more comforting and luxurious than stepping into a hot shower or bath at the end of a long day, and even better when you’re doing it in a stunning new bathroom!

No longer are these interiors just basic necessities, they are now your own personal retreat.

In this article, we look at 3 major trends in bathrooms that may make you want to start creating your own at-home spa retreat.

Wet Rooms

This is a trend that’s been growing in popularity over the past 2 years.  It’s great for small areas, to make the room feel larger and is also a great solution to divisions within a bathroom.

By having one room that can withstand the wet conditions of a shower, means the rest of your bathroom is simplified.  You don’t need a separate shower, bath, sink – they can all coexist in the same area.    If you’re one for aesthetics, this could be the bathroom trend that works for you.

You can still look to use glass screens as ‘zones’ with the bathroom, however keep the flow by using the same tiles throughout.

And the best bit about a wet room? They are easy to clean!

Black & White

Black and white bathrooms just scream classic and can be easily incorporated into your bathroom depending on how it laid out, size etc.

For example, you may have a small bathroom and wish to keep it light and bright, but can bring in black tapware and fixtures to give it a sleek and sophisticated finish, without overwhelming the space with dark colours.

Double Basins & Double Showers

Yep, we’re seeing double!  A very popular trend is having two of everything – two basins, two shower heads and even bathroom cabinets.

Not only does ‘twinning’ in the bathroom provide a great symmetry to the room, it also has practical advantages, of course.  Many couples that share a bathroom space don’t want to fight for shower or mirror time, in particular in the morning when getting ready for work. Doubling up means keeping the peace!

We absolutely love bathrooms, and we highly suggest you have a look at some of our new build projects, to see some of the great bathrooms we’ve had the pleasure of working on.  You can view our projects HERE.
